Crawford Bay

Tucked in to the east shore of Kootenay Lake and situated just east of the Kootenay Lake Ferry on Hwy 3A, Crawford Bay welcomes visitors to the 'Artisans of Crawford Bay'. With studios spread within walking distance along the main route, visitors can watch artists at their craft, learn about their crafts and creative process and take away beautiful art as a special reminder of their visit to the Kootenays.

On any given day you'll meet potters, broom makers and hand weavers. You'll see blown glass, copper and glass jewellery or forged iron. Play a round of golf, find great hikes and mountain bike trails, wetland walks and quiet beaches. Each summer Crawford Bay hosts the 'Starbelly Jam Festival'. Some of the best emerging music from around the world in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
